Objectives:
- Create a short animation.
- Learn about the Scratch program.
Materials:
- Scratch program.
- Computer.
Procedure:
Step 1: Get set up
- Click on the “File Explorer” icon on the desktop. (bottom of the screen)
- Click on the arrow in front of This PC and choose the Home Drive (U:)
- Choose New Folder from the top of the page. .
- Name the folder “yourclass_scratch” Example 7A_scratch.
- Now exit all boxes that you have open on your screen.
Step 2: Learn Scratch

Step 3: Plan your animation.
- On a piece of paper create a Storyboard (a plan of what you want your animation to look like)
Step 4: Create your animation
- Begin making your animation.
- Don't try to get too complicated.
Step 5: Make a movie with sound and titles.
- Save completed animation in your folder
Step 6: Write a Report
- Don't forget to write a report. Check out the Tech Lab web page Written Report link for instructions on writing your report.
Step 7: Pass in Project
- Pass in your project by dragging and dropping your folder into Mr. MacPhersons Inbox.
