The best way to learn Cross Country Canada is to start playing. When you finish some sample games, you should know the following:
You can save your game at any time by clicking on the Computer Chip (top-left icon on your windshield).
Step 3: Complete Scenario
Once you have played the game two or three times and you are confident that you can complete your tasks with a minimum of mistakes, you will now estimate a trip of you own and compare it to your actual expenses.
Step 4: Write a report
Don't forget to write a report when you complete this module. Check out the Tech Lab web page Written Report link for instructions on writing your report. Add all estimated and actual expenses to the bottom of your report.

Step 1: Get set up
- Click on the “File Explorer” icon on the desktop. (bottom of the screen)
- Click on the arrow in front of This PC and choose the Home Drive (U:)
- Choose New Folder from the top of the page. .
- Name the folder “yourclass_canada” Example 7A_canada.
- Now exit all boxes that you have open on your screen.
Step 2: Learning the Game
The best way to learn Cross Country Canada is to start playing. When you finish some sample games, you should know the following:
- How to start the truck, drive, and get gas.
- How to check to see what commodities you need.
- What to do if you get hungry, darkness falls, you run out of gas, etc.
- How many kilometers you can drive in one day.
- Start the Cross Country program by double clicking on the Cross Country Canada 2 desktop icon. Choose new game and then select one player and 3 commodities. Click on Start Game.
- If you have questions about how to play the game consult the help screen (click on the ? at the top of the screen).
- Once the game is completed, study the travel log. Did you make good choices?

Step 3: Complete Scenario

- Begin a new game and choose Load Scenario.
- Select Scenario11.
- Get a trip log sheet from the teacher and fill in the appropriate information.
- Use the Canadian map (get it from the teacher) to plan your trip.
- Get an Expense Report from the teacher and follow the instructions to estimate costs of the trip.
- Complete the scenario.
- Fill in the actual expenses.
- Finally, add all of this information to your written report.
